—————-
as the energy fades,
and hope drips out of
a world dull with
creeping loneliness…
It’s the little things that can
make a difference…
between the onset
of desperation…
and fear…
where people are driven to
places…
Too frightening to show
sleepy eyes…
And the golden contrast…
Where the sun….
And all its celestial friends…
Give just enough warmth…
To drag most of us
through another day…
Which could finally
be the one…
where things just
turn around…
And start moving
away from the
darkness…
and out of
this heartbreaking…
solitude…

David L. Whitman 02/03/2013 looking at the sun

So beautiful picture peeking sun. Start moving away from this heartbreaking solitude just pressed in my mind cause sounds so promising. Today I feel more your last two words. Well I like the poem. Enjoy your sunday
I’m glad you liked the poem. Thank you so much
comme une lumiere divine
Merci!
there is a tiny spark of hope towards the end..and a lovely photo, as always
As long as that spark is there….all can be ok. Thank you padmini!
This is beautifully tragic David. So dark and sad. I feel your pain in these words.
I know you can. You are such an empath.
