The Terror of Peace

close my eyes….like a spring, silver wings…desperate to miss everything….

sinking down….

please don’t drown,

panic sets in all around…..

Losing fear…nothing near….
wishing there were words to hear…
Word of love so sweetly snug,
like gentle slaps from velvet gloves…
Terror squeals like greaseless wheels….
bitterness like orange peels…
Gentle kisses…
watery wishes…
swallow by swallow it tastes delicious…
pulling out upon the beach….
silvery moon always in reach…
Mind intact without a breach…
Just the terror that’s in peace….
David L. Whitman 03/29/2012 from under a sky so blue….
