First Day Forward….

Memories Sticks

Chunking is interesting.  In reading, it’s when you recognize smaller words inside larger words.  For memory, it’s when you remember thingslike your phone number as multi number segments.  so, chunking is a useful tool.  for my times in the outdoors, I tend to have my memories categorized (or chunked together)  Freshwater from salt…Mountains from florida…Hot from cold…Who was with me….Purely by accident, my memories are filed like this.  And, perhaps because of the sway the outdoors hold, these memories are very vivid.  It’s amazing what our brains can do, when something is even subconsciously important to us.  just something to think about….

When the gentle mist falls…

At the start of the day…

sun begins to shine…

Sweet in every way…

——–

The mountains are ablaze…

In rapturous gold light…

The flowers are a sway…

With little signs of blight…

——-

The waters they do flow…

So lovely and so true….

No sign of murk…

Color’s royal blue….

——

Trees are so towering…

right up to the sky….

Up above the birds…

With clouds gliding by…

——-

All these things are mine…

Their memories I keep….

So even in the night…

Sweetly will I sleep…
