Beneath the Surface…

Oh to jump in...

—–

Sometimes I just obsess over things and think about problems, potential or present, too much….It can take my sleep and my piece of mind as well…Anyway…just a brief reflection there……

——-

Beneath the surface all is cool

of this sweet inviting pool…

Beneath the surface all is sweet

where snails and fish can laugh and meet…

Beneath the surface tranquil still….

But rougher waters more than nill…

Beneath the waves no eyes can see…

where liquid muddies more than tea…

Beneath the mirror shining back…

with memories that do attack….

Beneath the clouds the waters clear…

But in so close you’ll always hear….

The faintest sobs of yesterday

and trembling you cannot stay…

Better just to run away,

before your mind demands its pay….

  1. Not everyone can see beneath^^^^ ))) and you what I like more is that you bring it not in an abstract way but very vivid… ‘Yesterday’ its a word that has a semantic level that I like very much too )))

  2. 🙂 Thank you Mirela…yesterday absolutely is a word that can play a role…And i’m glad you felt the sharp contrast and vividness….Thank you so much for reading…

    • :). Well for me, I’m mainly trying to work on not brooding as much as I tend to do….turning small problems large…losing sleep. Etc…thank you so much Kim:)))))

  3. Wonderful piece and image (love this photo) to accompany your sentiments. So much going on here ‘beneath the surface’ David…. I hope your confronting the energies allowed you to rest easier. I may need to have a talk with my ‘beneath the surface’ pals tonight too:)
