Friday so Adored

sunrise from class

——–

The golden globe trips above the horizon,

with sparkling prisms tracing filigrees hither and yon….

colors snake forth like woven gentle baskets…

Arriving on sneak steps,

without trumpets…

delivered by the screech of silence…

 The hiss of empty lungs,

and kindly slapped like sweet taffy,

hope is here

riding a flaming chariot…

burning brighter than the moon in deadest night….

shining with darkness unpierced by human eyes…

powered by the dreams of the world

and the fears of few…

Grab it with crab claws,

careful not to tear or rip it’s latex hide….

Fleeting is this time with hourglass hands racing against the Styx…

til the cycle winds down…

Only to start-up again and again…

It’s always the same…

joyfully so….
