The Locality of Beauty….

——–

When dreaming of far away lands…

and oceans vast as infinity

sometimes it’s easy to forget…

That beauty…

can be right under our nose…

a painted leaf…

The drip from an icicle…

A fragile bloom…

all there…

For someone slow enough….

and patient enough…

To find it…

  1. Simplicity re-birthed beauty in my mind as I read:

    a painted leaf…

    The drip from an icicle…

    A fragile bloom…

    all there…

It steered my mind into the deep complexities that are hidden away in the things we pass by everyday. Great thought provoking words.

  2. True enough, David.
    Lovely poem!

    Beauty is all around us.
    Who was it who said:
“The road to heaven is rough and rocky,
if you don’t stop and smell the roses along the way”.

Have a nice, poetic day! 😉
