Colorless Beauty

Oak Noir

——

whether red or green…

Or black and white…

Beauty remains….

Within the light….

——

The tumble of water over rock…

The cool of grass beneath your sock….

The tick tick tocking of a clock…

The cruel embrace of future shock…

—–

The smell of oak within your nose…

the lovely scent of pine that grows….

The moon at night under the glow

Of fireflies that glide so slow…

—–

Get out get out…

It’s closing fast…

this open door

may be your last…

A chance to change

the blistered past…

of your true face

without the mask…
