To float upward with the breeze
climbing toward the clouds
skyward bound
Heart empty and brain alert
and I do see your fear
I do..
but don’t worry…it’s easy
there are signs everywhere
just pointing the way..
And I will surely spend
some time in the fluffiest of clouds
before gravity greedily claims me
in a headlong rush back
towards what I hope
is the softest
of crashes
upon the kindest
piece of
ground.

Beautiful imagery. Nice imagination.
Thank you Kim:)))
Thank you always kim:)))
Lovely as always David…I hope you enjoy the view while floating with the clouds.
It is lovely…just don’t get much time lol
You and I both my friend…but I too, got my small piece of dreaming in the clouds today. May gravity always be kind to you…or the moss be ten feet thick so you just bounce right back up.
kind thoughts both and I thank you:)))
The kindest softest piece of mossy sun dusted earth will pillow your landing, I offer my grassy knoll, there is room for us all xx
Your kindness is the truest thing here..thank you:)))
I’m staying in the fluffy clouds….no, no, no to gravity!!! Well said, David. Your continued ability to express common experience in great depth through prose while matching interesting photos, is a gift indeed—the fluffiest of gifts. 🙂 Sam
And you’re ability to see deep inside is a gift as well:)) thank you so much samtastic:)))
I wish more people would think that way. Thank you for your kind post
Thank you Beatrix..thank you so much
Oh this is ‘fabulotastic’ David! I love it ~ floating in bliss until the crash – when gravity decides. Just wishing for us all the softest of landings, as you say. This is a great one all around – thank you 🙂 Off to float a bit as I sleep (hopefully) and ready myself for another big day here… sweet dreams!
I love this poem, David; so tender and hopeful. What a lovely heart you have, too.
