Friend from Above

——-

Crackling with electricity,

the sun slowly rose

to its rightful place

on the solar throne…

And, although wielding the power

of life and death,

Our skyward friend,

Radiating crimson heat and

draped in all her lemony finery

Was truly kind

and gentle…

despite…

the behavior

of some of the people

she watched over..

  5. Beautiful photos and I like your poetry. I see you’re in Tampa, I’m in Hollywood. The photos come alive for me, they remind me of the sights, sounds and the feel of the river, the plants, etc, I guess because it’s familiar terrain. Glad I found your blog. 🙂
