Future Fear/Treasured Memories

——-

Memories inside this shed…

lines and hooks and rods instead…

silly frowns now are dead…

working blood was truly bled…

—–

Father’s presence now is here…

This of course I hold so dear…

past and present he is near…

In the future’s what I fear..

——

Lately things, here are strange…

I’m not saying they’re deranged…

emotions now are wildly ranged…

Sad things must be done again…

——

So Breathing now I’ll deeply take…

Worse my thoughts, I’ll not make…

Across my face my nails will rake…

Wish this worry I could shake…

  1. I think this photo is spectacular. Soothing in lines and stature, and appreciate the shades of black and white. The poem fits this image well. Makes me want to see the treasures that are hidden 😦 Sigh. Sad things, shaking worry….heart goes out to you ❤ your friend, Sam

It’s great when we have good memories because memories are food for our present, and … perfume for our soul.

  5. So complex…mixed emotion…conflicted energies here in your thought-provoking poem. I suppose lots of life is this way. Fear and worry about future seems to haunt so many of us. and at the same time memories of past can be so beautiful. You’ve captured it all with your words and image. Sending healing/loving thoughts your way today David ~
