Beware their Lantern Eyes

—————-

Beware that time of dusk…

that dank time…

that tricky time…

when the glow of the day is waning…

but the caressing darkness of the night

has not yet arrived…

Yes take care in this time

of chicanery…

when the long shadows

make their appearance…

dancing and flickering…

gibbering with glee..

but watching..

oh yes..

watching…

training their lantern eyes

upon you…

stretching their nails out…

ready to snatch your soul

and feed it to the twisting

darkness…

So beware the dusk…

tread carefully at twilight…

because in the end…

you will be transfixed…

with your eyes able to look at

nothing else…

  5. Yes, now that is awesomeness! Oh, those lantern eyes up to their trickery. Splashing their light, while waiting to pounce. I have met some of them indeed spewing their quibble here and there with smiles! 🙂

I do enjoy this one very much – all the shadows looming I am waiting to be snatched! Hee hee
