Night Whispers

———–

Darkness reveals

its secrets fully by what

is hidden away

from prying eyes..

As colors disappear

and the ebony sun makes

its arrival,

the sweet, cool night descends…

whispering forbiddens in your ear

until the mysteries of the world

have fallen away in a silent crash…

Leaving your head

in your hands..

And your brain

screaming with enough

knowledge to deserve

to see at least

one more day..

  1. When we put colors away photo gets completly different. Secrets you say;)))
    Like this lines very much

    whispering forbiddens in your ear
until the mysteries of the world
have fallen away in a silent crash…

  2. “Leaving your head

    in your hands..

    And your brain

    screaming with enough”

    sigh………….

May that same ebony sun move beyond its ever temporary position, and shine upon you in new light of silence through which all beauty will be illuminated that abounds you.
Powerful and moving poem, and beautiful black and white photo.
    Well done Sir D.
Blessings and much love, Sam πŸ™‚

  3. This is yet again a thought provoking write…so much here…from first word to last…every line makes me think…a rich one for sure…hope you’re well tonight.

  4. Wowa! love it David ~ Transition from day to night does have this kind of effect on me for some reason. It’s almost a ceremonia mysterious experience each day. You captured that wonderfully in this poem! …. Your photo is spectacular — the b&w effect is super cool here — frame this one πŸ™‚ Much Love & May you see tomorrow anew after this Ebony Sun fades and colors reappear once more πŸ˜‰ ~RL

    • yes…from day to night real changes occur..Face the night or face the day…either way it can be a challenge or a great way to learn:))) how are you Robyn:))

  5. This poem reminds me of times when I have seen a beautiful sunset or when I have lied under the desert sky and nearly wept at how amazing these things are and how they have inspired me. Stunning!
