Spiral Dark

————

honey stuck

within this darkened cage…

tumbling through the clown’s mouth

only to impale on the teeth beyond..

titanium flesh protects me

from the sinister gore

as the sap syrups my arms

to the wood’s warped vulgarity…

Twisting and spiraling

in a dreamy carousel…

watching their laughter…

the contorted chortles

as their faces pull and stretch

Scream and leer..

until I find myself head down

in the muck…

dream sleeping in the grass…

Filled with wonder, and

Teetering on the edge of madness..

but content in this softened grass…

this sweet, green

grass…

Wowa David.. this is so vivid!! Also loved your ending — Seems you are in the zone my friend.. . definitely got that horror vibe going on too, but you peek out into the lightness intermittently!
Enjoyed much my friend ! 🙂
