Sunset At Home

pastel

—————–

The golden light came with a trickle….

a wiggle..

and a blink…

Drawing me off the couch

by a scarlet thread…

and lifting me straight into the sky…

To taste a bit of cloud…

And rinse off the day

within the sun’s dying glow…

To rest within the sky’s domain…

Sleeping wearily on marshmallow pillows

with the ticking hands at a stop…

Until all the refuse…

and bitter thoughts…

have faded away…

And left my psyche

glued together

with smiling stickers…

like they give you

in an office…

meant for a child…
