Snatched

Snatched

————————-

The web of thoughts

in a person’s mind

can easily convolute…

and tangle…

Dripping scarlet dreams

with deceit layered upon honesty…

And love fallen into

the thorns of envy…

bleeding and gasping for clean air…

until the hands reach down…

Those twisted, gnarled fingers….

Gently caressing…

Lightly stroking…

Before plunging down your throat…

and snatching up

the writhing soul within…

Only to carry it up

to the moon…

To hide within a crater…

long abandoned

by the hopes and dreams

of those poor children

bound to a simple

place…

called Earth.
